Iloili, La Muy Noble Ciudad or The Most Noble City, a title given by the Queen Regent of Spain in the 20th century to Iloilo city. Is it because of the their impressive churches of because or the La Paz Batchoy? I highly doubt its the latter although if the Queen Regent of Spain ever get to taste Iloilo’s infamous pork noodle soup I am pretty sure she’ll think the title was well deserved, it was for me anyway.
